EMMA SWIFT – WILDLIFE ARTIST

ABOUT & CONTACT

Hello, my name is Emma Swift and I am a UK artist working predominantly in oils. I have always been fascinated and excited by the natural world, and I love the challenge of capturing its beauty. Over the past few years I have worked with several wildlife charities using my art to help raise money for vital conservation projects around the world.

I love to combine vivid colours with bold brush strokes, alongside more intricate detail. I enjoy researching my subject so I can be accurate with detail, however my work is not traditionally photorealistic, but more painterly, colourful and inquisitive. Colour just seems to work its way into unexpected places! I am hugely inspired by the natural world and the charities and people who strive to protect it. I have been honoured to work with several conservation charities, helping to raise money through the sales of my work, and this continues to motivate me.

Whilst much of my focus is on wildlife, I also have the same passion for animals at home, fully appreciating the enormously positive impact that these creatures can have on our lives. I feel very honoured when asked to undertake a pet portrait commission, and it’s always my aim to capture the real character of a precious pet.

For commissions I work primarily in oil paint on canvas.
